And yet, we're all still excited, mainly because The Mandalorian is, in a lot of ways, our only saving grace of the Star Wars franchise right now.

"The songs of eons past tell of battles between Mandalore the Great and an order of sorcerers called Jedi", the Armorer tells the Mandalorian.

"You expect me to search the galaxy and deliver this creature to a race of enemy sorcerers?" Other directors include Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, Peyton Reed, and Robert Rodriguez. And the return of the Jedi (again) is just the tip of the iceberg for what the duo has in store for Season 2.

Earlier this year, reports emerged that Banks had a role in the Star Wars series, but no further details were known at the time.

Disney+ unveiled the official trailer for the sophomore season of The Mandalorian on Tuesday.

The bounty hunter runs into a pair of X-Wing pilots and gets into a fight while attending an alien wrestling match. In August, Banks and fellow "Mandalorian" star Gina Carano bantered on social media about Gina possibly appearing on WWE television. But let's face it: the only character that matters to Twitter is Baby Yoda.

The first trailer for The Mandalorian season two was undeniably epic, though some fans are understandably disappointed that there's not so much as a glimpse of rumoured additions to the series like Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, Sabine Wren, and Captain Rex.
