Disney's big-ticket live-action film "Mulan" may have skipped the release in United Kingdom and U.S. but the film will be hitting theatres across China soon.

Disney made the post in the Mulan ballard's traditional character, writing in the style of classical verse: "When the magnolia blossom opens, it lives up to its reputation and arrives as promised", a play on the film's titular heroine's name and variety of magnolia tree.

Last week, Disney floored fans when they announced the highly-anticipated "Mulan" would skip a theatrical release and head straight to PVOD instead. Moreover, to watch the movie on Disney+, you'll have to pay $30 apart from having the premium subscription. On Monday, Disney confirmed that its live-action has been approved to release in Chinese cinemas soon.

While Disney have yet to announce an Irish release date, it seems that the movie will stream in most markets with a few exceptions in Asia. If this live-action hits China at the same time, it will be in direct competition with Christopher Nolan's Tenet, which is set to premiere in the country on the same day.

The announcement further said the film will release in select territories where cinemas have been opened up following coronavirus lockdown. The decision came after the film's original March 9 debut was delayed due to COVID-19.
