The Wu-Tang Clan leader partnered up with Good Humor to come up with the hot new track as a family friendly alternative to "Turkey in the Straw" - the jingle you probably grew up hearing as you chased the ice cream truck.

The rapper-producer unveiled the catchy new song Thursday morning in a video acknowledging the racist history of "Turkey in the Straw", which has always been associated with minstrel shows and racist imagery.

"Remember that ice cream jingle?". RZA says in a promo video introducing his tune. We can change the dynamics.

Today, RZA's new jingle has been premiered, a whimsical little chime melody paired with subtle yet clearly rap-inspired percussion; if anything, the beat is a testament to how deeply entrenched within modern culture hip-hop truly is. But the song itself was first performed (and gained popularity) in American minstrel shows in the 1800s.

Interested parties can check out RZA's handiwork below, and don't be surprised to hear this one the next time the ice cream truck comes rolling through your neighborhood.

Raise your hand if you ever thought RZA would be writing a jingle for Good Humor ice cream.

Lilly goes on to say, "And while we have not owned ice cream trucks since 1976, we wanted to be part of the solution and offer ice cream truck drivers a jingle that can bring joy to every community".

The hope is the jingle will be adopted by ice cream truck drivers all over, so it's been made free to use. When I learned about that song's problematic history this summer, I knew I had to get involved and do something about it.
