Manchester United have reportedly put on hold their efforts to sign a striker this summer due to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's increasing belief in Anthony Martial.

Central to the club's hopes could be the performances of midfielder Pogba, who has impressed since his return to the side in recent months, the France global having endured an injury-hit campaign that saw him make just eight appearances in all competitions prior to the Premier League's restart in June. On his Europa goals, the manager said: "We went into this season knowing that the Europa League is a great chance for us to get a trophy, to get far in a tournament", Solskjaer said.

However, strong performances from the new year saw the Red Devils finish in third place yet it seems the former Molde man is still looking for more.

'And I'm looking forward to seeing him grow with this team.

Whenever the club lost a match in the glory days of Sir Alex Ferguson's era, it was essentially the end of the world. Since coming back from injury has been a delight, ' Solskjaer said, as reported by The Mirror. Manchester United are now preparing for the Europa League quarter-final clash against Copenhagen, slated to take place on Tuesday.

Martial came off the bench to score the victor in United's last outing against LASK in the second leg of their last 16 Europa League tie, which set up a meeting with Copenhagen on Monday.

"He's in the gym a lot working on his fitness and strength". "We are going to see the best of Paul in the next couple of seasons, I'm sure".

Martial has starred over the second half of the campaign and looks to be in the best physical condition of his time in English football to date, Solskjaer revealing the forward is reaping the benefits of his work away from the pitch.
