It's worth bearing in mind that this is an initial release, and Guerrilla clearly aren't entirely up to speed with PC development; further, Steam reviews themselves are radically suspect to review-bombing and trolling. Some are reporting that during the cinematic and cut scenes, Horizon Zero Dawn application crashes while others are also experiencing random game crashes when playing a mission.

As per our recent hands-on with the PC port of PlayStation 4 masterpiece Horizon Zero Dawn it was hard not to be consistently and regularly blown away by its visuals - now enhanced to take advantage of modern PC hardware.

Guerrilla Games, the developer of the game, has issued a statement in response to the complaints. While it may not be the greatest now, the devs are working to improve the game.

"We have been monitoring all of our channels and are mindful that some players have been experiencing crashes and other technical concerns", the submit states. "Please know that we are investigating your reports as our highest priority".

As we previously reported, the PC version gives players more graphics options and settings to play around with.

If you're not necessarily looking to play the role of a screen archer, taking every shot you can with maximum quality, then the PC port of Horizon Zero Dawn is actually a safe bet, disregarding that the title sat at 40% recommended three hours after release; it now sits at 51% recommended at the time of writing.
