The promotional material for the campaign DLC is distinctly blue in color, and it seems like Maykr Angels will be the primary antagonists in this new content. The full Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods, Part One trailer will be shown at Gamescom 2020 during its Opening Night Live segment on August 27 at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET. Hopefully, the DLC will swiftly arrive sometime after that, because more DOOM Eternal can never be considered a bad thing.

Bethesda has added Doom Eternal and Elder Scrolls Online to the list of titles being ported to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, though the announcement comes with a nice caveat for those who already own the titles. Currently, Microsoft is the only publisher with an official policy of making its next-gen versions of its games free to upgrade to, but so far all the other major companies appear to be following suit.

Bethesda also noted that its teams are working hard on ensuring that both games will support backwards compatibility when the new consoles are released, possibly hinting the upgrades won't be quite ready by both console's Holiday 2020 launch window.

Doom Eternal is now available on Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
