Tottenham and Southampton have agreed deals in principle for the transfers of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Kyle Walker-Peters.

Ditched as captain in June but a mainstay in a rejuvenated Saints outfit, the Dane was an integral member in Southampton's steady and, in the end, comfortable road to Premier League survival.

The report has claimed that the Denmark worldwide - who earns £50,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com - is on the brink of completing his move to Spurs.

Hojbjerg made 30 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Southampton during the 2019-20 campaign, providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.

It now seems that Mourinho is set to land his man, and complete Tottenham's first signing of the summer without breaking the bank.

Southampton have also been considering other options for right back, including Matty Cash of Nottingham Forest and West Ham's Ryan Fredericks.

This essentially means that Spurs are paying just £3million plus Walker-Peters for Hojbjerg, which seems like a very smart deal for Mourinho and co.
