Mumbai/Patna: Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh on Monday released a video statement, revealing as to why he was compelled to file a complaint at Patna.

"Whatever has been done to him is inappropriate", Kumar told journalists in Patna.

Rajput's father, on July 25, had lodged the FIR at Rajiv Nagar police station in Patna against Rhea Chakraborty and six others, including her family members, accusing them of abetting the actor's suicide.

"He (Pandey) will himself speak to the authorities concerned", Kumar said.

When asked about whether he would himself have a word with his Maharashtra counterpart Uddhav Thackeray, the Bihar chief minister said, "It is not a political matter".

His wife Nutan Singh, a BJP MLC, also raised the issue in the Legislative Council. "The IPS officer will coordinate with senior officers of Mumbai Police", he added. Similarly, Congress Legislature Party leader Sadanand Singh suggested that a resolution be passed in support of the demand for a CBI inquiry.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police has recorded the statement of almost 40 people till now.

The Bihar police have recorded statements of 10 people in connection with the suicide and they have also sought for the investigation details on forensic laboratory, inquest, post- mortem, and CCTV camera footage from Mumbai police.

Salian had jumped to death from a Malad high-rise on June 8 and Rajput was also questioned in connection with the suicide then.

"No politician's name came up during the probe so far". Taking to Twitter, Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey said, "Tiwari reached Mumbai from Patna on official duty to lead the police team there but he has been forcibly quarantined by BMC officials at 11 pm on Sunday. There were around Rs 14.5 crore credit in the account". In an interview with Times Now, he stated that he can not decide on this right now because post-mortem has been done and the report is with the forensic department. "That is why we got the matter registered in Patna".
