Almost all board members voted in favor of the plan as it was originally presented.

Then, about 45 minutes after the meeting was supposed to start, the program Boise School District was using limited the number of people who were able to watch.

The Florida Department of Education has approved the reopening plans for schools in Martin, St. Lucie, and Okeechobee counties.

Below are the results so far from Lee County parents and students, regarding how they have chosen to learn this upcoming school year.

It comes after the district updated its plan last week to an alternate-day, hybrid learning model.

As stated to parents last week, families will have until this Friday to send in their virtual learning forms, which will lock students into online learning for the first trimester or semester.

Salt Lake City, Davis and Granite school districts are among those planning to meet Tuesday, and teachers and parents plan to get together before the meetings begin.

School board members previously agreed to offer three educational options for students: traditional in-person classroom instruction, full-time online instructional learning, or a blended model for students who will eventually transition back to traditional school.

"We will explore creative solutions like providing free internet access and noise-reducing headphones so that students' experiences are improved", district leaders said in the plan.
