The listing reads, "The legendary Halo series returns with the most expansive Master Chief campaign yet and a groundbreaking free-to-play multiplayer experience". That means taking advantage of the console's improved features and extra horsepower. Instead, 343 Industries simply said that details about multiplayer will come soon.

If you're interested in making it yourself, CAD renders and progress photos can be seen here in the 405th forums.

This apparent leak comes after 343 Industries has had to squash rumours following Halo Infinite's gameplay debut at this month's Xbox Series X showcase that its multiplayer modes wouldn't launch the same time as the main campaign.

It's worth reminding that there are no "free to play" multiplayer games on Xbox as of today: Games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, or the free version of Destiny 2 all require an Xbox Live Gold subscription to be played online. While a battle royale mode seems the most obvious, there is no information about what the multiplayer comprises of.

343 Industries and Microsoft will reveal more details about the multiplayer mode of Halo: Infinite at a later date.

Halo Infinite will be released alongside the Xbox Series X in Holiday 2020, but will also be available on PC and Xbox One.
