Building from a slow, shimmering intro, the track springs to life with a funky, low-key groove, on top of which Eilish sings: I m in love with my future / Cant wait to meet her.

Accompanying the track is an animated music video created by Australian artist Andrew Onorato, who has previously worked on music videos for Childish Gambino, Matt Corby, and Tash Sultana.

Billie Eilish penned a letter to her fans and encouraged them to "stay hopeful" amid uncertainty, as she talked about the meaning of her latest single, "my future".

She was also awarded Best International Female at the BRIT Awards in London, while later that month, she released her internationally hailed, official James Bond theme song No Time To Die. The online video opens with an animated Eilish sitting in a forest all through a rain storm and staring at the moon. "This was such a satisfying process".

"We wrote this at the very beginning of quarantine". The most up-to-date, for her new one "my long term", is no exception. We were in this like.

"We're just trying to tell all those and we're being a little bit experimental".

Irish American 18-year-old star Billie Eilish has released a new single written during her COVID-19 quarantine. "We had the song recorded, but we didn't have, we didn't know what to do with it". And we popped in the pool. Self-love, discovery, and personal growth are all words that I would use to describe the attractive lyrics that Eilish created - lyrics that can translate to something a little different to each listener.

"I have to keep reminding myself that the future is ours, and I know we want to do everything we can to make it better for everyone in the world, and for the world itself", she said.
