Beyonce delights fans with stylised visual album ‘Black Is King’

Grammy-winning singer Beyoncé has hyped up her new Black Is King visual album - set to premiere on Disney Plus today - with her new "Already" music video premiere.

People fell hard for a softer side of the fierce showstopper revealed in the visual album, which is dedicated to Beyoncé's son, Sir Carter.

Beyonce also released a deluxe edition of The Lion King: The Gift, which adds on her recent single "Black Parade" (and the extended version), as well as a Melo-X remix of "Find Your Way Back".

The visual album is based off of music from The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack, which was released in July 2019.

The star's production firm, Parkwood Entertainment, described the album as "a celebratory memoir for the world on the black experience".

"Black Is King" is written, directed and executive produced by Beyonce. A reunion of cultures and shared generational beliefs. His raw talent is evident in "Don't Jealous Me" but even more so in the vibrant rendition of "Mood 4 Eva", which sees him wearing the same clothes as Jay-Z while confidently rapping the lyrics.

"Black Is King na confirmation of one grand objective, wit ogbonge visuals wey celebrate Black resilience and culture". "It was truly a journey to bring this film to life and my hope for this film is that it shifts the global perception of the word Black, which has always meant inspiration and love and strength and beauty to me", she added.
