With Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho seemingly inching closer to a Manchester United move, the German giants have reportedly set their sights on Dutch star Memphis Depay as an immediate replacement.

According to the same story, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United aren't close to working out how the Red Devils would pay the remain £40m or so after the up front sum.

Depay had a hard spell at United but has been revitalised in France scoring 14 goals in 18 games across all competitions this season.

"Ed Woodward, United's executive vice-chairman, is prepared to offer £50m for Sancho due to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the transfer market, but sources have said that Solskjaer and his coaching staff want the club to make a more realistic opening offer to ensure that a deal gets done quickly".

Still injured, Depay is unlikely to play in the second leg of Lyon's UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Serie A champions Juventus in Turin on 7 August, in which they hold a 1-0 lead.

Liverpool are plotting a move for Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly following the Cherries' Premier League relegation according to the Express.

But ESPN says Solskjaer is growing increasingly tired that United may miss out on Sancho, prompting him to speak with Woodward.

Kelly however only made nine appearances this season for Bournemouth after being plagued with injuries and his lack of game time could stand in the way of any potential move.
