Juventus have been linked with an €80m deal for Wolves striker Raul Jimenez, despite reports that he was nearing a move to Manchester United.

Reports from Portuguese broadcast channel RTP had suggested that United were close to securing a deal for the Mexican global.

With Wolves on the verge of signing Sporting Braga striker Paulinho, the Wanderers are willing to cash in on Jimenez and send him to Old Trafford.

Wolves are using half of their quoted price to bring in Paulinho meaning Nuno is clearly looking to make a huge profit from the sale of Jimenez and then use that money to rebuild his squad for the upcoming season.

Jimenez has excelled in the Premier League over the past two seasons to attract interest from some of the biggest clubs in the English top flight in his services.

The Mexico worldwide has always been linked with a move to one of Europe's top clubs this summer, with Manchester United keen on bolstering their attacking options by adding Jimenez to their ranks. The 29-year-old has scored 26 goals in 53 appearances this campaign.

The Mexico global equalled Marcus Rashford's tally of 17 goals in the top-flight campaign.

18-year-old Mason Greenwood has been setting the world on fire for Manchester United this season.

The 20-time English champions will take on Austrian side LASK in the Europa League round of 16 next week in a bid to win their first trophy under Solskjaer.
