People who have spent more than 24 hours in Wisconsin will soon be required to self-quarantine for 14 days upon entering Chicago, Mayor Lori Lightfoot said Monday.

Chicago officials said that beginning Friday, anyone from those states who doesn't comply with the requirement could face possible fines. "We're also seeing an increase in states around us".

The expansion announced Tuesday brought the total number of affected states to 22. The order does include individuals coming from Wisconsin to Chicago for non-work purposes or Chicago residents returning from Wisconsin counties unless they are deemed an essential worker.

Yeah, stats starting friday we'll talk about that in a moment but of course let's talk about what a attractive day this is today and as you would imagine a lot of folks out on lake geneva just enjoying all of this weather many of them of course are from IL those from chicago may have to think twice before coming back starting this weekend.

According to the City of Chicago's website, the order does not include individuals who are commuting from Wisconsin to Chicago for the goal of work; however, those individuals must limit work activities, take their temperature and avoid extended periods in public spaces.
