Six heroes are included with the game at launch:Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow and Kamala Khan. In the latest War Table stream, the developers gave us more of a look at what is to come. The Marvel's Avengers Beta commences on Xbox One from 14th August with a pre-order, before the open beta starts on 21st August to 23rd August. On August 14, the beta will be available for all PlayStation 4 owners and run through August 16. Are any of you going to be trying out the beta next month?

HARM rooms, otherwise known as Holographic Augmented Reality Machine rooms, are simulations where players go up against increasingly tougher opponents. They'll pit you against multiple waves of enemies in what essentially sounds like the title's take on a horde mode. What's also cool is that you can build to achievements that will carry over for when the actual game is released.

Play as 4 different heroes in online co-op missions. There will be three in total, with you being able to customise your characters before taking on. Oh well, but if we get a glimpse of the Clint that is in the trailer for Marvel's Avengers in the MCU, then I'm here for it. In particular, that will be a new Hulk Smashers Pickaxe and a bonus Hulkbuster style.

To ensure you get access, be certain to register for a Square Enix Member's account, which will be used to validate pre-order codes and content as well as to deliver post-launch exclusives like new heroes, new missions, and new regions at no additional cost. As the Avengers are extremely customizable, you'll want to use HARM Challenge Rooms to check if your equipment for each hero works the way that you want it to, and see how well it's balanced against your friends' heroes or companion AI. A new villain will be joining his part of the campaign as well, who will be revealed at a later date. Marvel's Avengers officially releases on September 4, 2020. Once the full game is out, however, you will be able to play these mission types with whatever unlocked character you choose, including the newly announced Hawkeye.
