Video game developer and publisher Codemasters announced the release of "F1 2020" on Friday, on the Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One, and PC platforms and, for the first time, Google's Stadia gaming platform. This latest title in the franchise comes with all 10 teams, 20 drivers and cars from the 2020 season as well as lots of new features, including new circuits, the new driver manager feature My Team and much more. The F2 2020 season update will be added later in the year as a free digital download.

It also announced the release of the "Deluxe Schumacher Edition" featuring four additional cars from Michael Schumacher's career, vehicle liveries, race equipment and an exclusive podium emote.

Fellow broker Shore Capital also said they expected that the delayed F1 season, which has restarted just ahead of the game's release date, "will create greater interest from consumers for both Codemasters and F1 2020". Players will be able to arrange auto design, staff hiring, finding sponsors and be able to ensure everything runs smoothly on and off the track. Players can also choose from the original full 22 race season, and shorter 10 and 16 race season options in both My Team and the 10-season Career. The latest auto liveries and team colours, including Mercedes AMG Petronas, will be added as a free digital update.

"Overall we forecast £40mln of revenues to be derived from the F1 franchise in [the 2021 financial year], contributing to an increasingly busy pipeline of releases in the year", Liberum said in a note. This mode will offer players a new driver-manager experience providing a unique insight into the sport.
