CBSE declares Class 12 results, HRD minister wishes students good luck

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has finally declared CBSE Class 12 Results 2020 for all three streams i.e. Arts, Commerce and Science stream today i.e. on July 13, 2020 putting an end to the long wait of the students.

Even though the other toppers of CBSE 12th board 2020 are not known yet, Divayanshi Jain from Lucknow has scored 100% marks in the board exams.

Trivandrum region has scored the highest pass percentage while the Patna region has garnered the lowest pass percentage.

Finally, there is another category of class 12 students, mainly from the riot-affected Northeast Delhi region where exams had to be postponed.

The CBSE analysis further shows that Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalavas (JNV) continue to top the CBSE affiliated schools when it comes to merit. In total, CBSE schools recorded a pass percentage of 88.78% compared with 83.40% reported in 2019.

Delhi West and Delhi East stand in fourth and fifth positions respectively in the region-wise performance.

The CBSE made a decision to avoid using the term "Fail" in any of the results sent to students or declared on its website, and has replaced it with the term "Essential Repeat".

The CBSE has not announced any merit list this year.

Apart from checking the result on the website, students can check the Digilocker app / website.

A telephone number will also be announced pan India on which the students would be able to know their result.

The results is also available on UMANG Mobile Platform which is available for android, iOS and Windows based Smart Phones. The CBSE had said on June 9 that its circular regarding counselling after the results will be released soon. Due to spread of Covid-19 pandemic, CBSE was forced to cancel examinations scheduled from March 19 to March 30 in 12 subjects along with examinations in 11 subjects for students of North-Eastern Delhi.
