The North London derby is one of the biggest rivalries in the Premier League, and it has some extra importance for both sides this year.

Arsenal scored first in the Premier League fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium when Alexandre Lacazette struck in the 16th minute, but Spurs drew level two minutes later through Heung-Min Son.

Victory maintained Mourinho's impressive record in home games against Arsenal - he has now won six and drawn four - and was a rare highlight for Tottenham in a mediocre season.

But Mourinho said: 'That is a fan's view.

"I could feel the boys' happiness was different".

Liverpool will play in the Wembley showpiece next month for the second season running after lifting their first-ever Premier League title. It is not a competition I am in love with, it is not a competition I would like very much to play, but when you can not play Champions League you play Europa League.

'What I asked for them tactically they gave me, what I asked from them from the emotional point of view, they gave me even more, ' the Portuguese added. "The personality they showed, nullify them and make them hit the ball long but with the two goals we gave away it's very hard", Arteta said after the match. "A little margin here, a little margin there".

The club's former defender said: "I know a couple members of staff at the club still and they say he's an absolute dream to work with".

"I think also the two midfielders, they did a great job and then we found our chances, and great spirit [it] really helped [us]".

'If we minimise the mistakes we do and play like that we will win many, many, many football games'.
