Amitabh Bachchan tests positive for COVID-19, admitted to Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital

Bachchan confirmed the news in a Twitter post, saying his family and staff members have undergone tests and are now waiting for their results.

'All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!' The entire film fraternity also took to Twitter to wish him the best and pray for the health of the family. "Sending you tonnes of love and good wishes!" This clarification comes in hours after news broke of the actor being hospitalised, but the reasons were unconfirmed. Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi also wished a speedy recovery. Praying for his strength & speedy recovery.
