Comeback: Paula Wilcox is set to return to Coronation Street after 51 years this month as Geoff Metcalfe's former lover - but can she save Yasmeen from a stint in prison?

Heading to the police station, Geoff announces that he'd like to retract his statement against Yasmeen and drop all charges.

With Geoff struggling over his lack of control as Yasmeen is now so far away from him, it seems that he may have a selfish motive for wanting her back on the cobbles.

The imprisoned wife is shocked when she calls Alya's phone and Geoff picks up. However the officer explains the decision is down to the Crown Prosecution Service. Yasmeen tells her that this latest twist makes her think Geoff is genuinely sorry for everything he did.

Will Yasmeen be fooled as Geoff tries to get back inside her head?

Later in prison, Yasmeen's friend Lucie hands her a contraband phone and urges her to call Geoff and show him who's boss.

On Monday, after weeks of doubting Geoff was innocent, Sally went to visit Yasmeen in prison.

Geoff promises his wife that when she comes home things will be different and he will seek professional help.

Yasmeen will once again be torn between what has happened and the love she believes she has always been given by Geoff.

Geoff started waving a knife in Yasmeen's face, taunting her about the escorts he'd been seeing, and after months of physical and mental abuse, she snapped and stabbed her husband in the neck with a broken wine bottle. She confessed to her neighbour that she couldn't take Geoff's abuse anymore. However she continued to defend him.

When Geoff found out about the visit he snapped at Sally just as his son Tim (Joe Duttine) walked in, showing everyone what a awful temper he had.

The actress is the return to Coronation Street, over 50 years after her first appearance on the ITV soap.
