Liverpool are 2-0 up at half-time against Crystal Palace and cruising to the title again, after a dip in form prompted the doubters to wonder if Klopp's men could actually find a way to bottle their ridiculous lead. Runners up Manchester City's loss against Chelsea F.C. on June 25 clinched the title for the Reds as the point difference (23 points) has become insurmountable for the league's remaining games.

Jordan Henderson then struck the woodwork but Salah added a second before the break when he controlled Fabinho's pass on his chest and beat Wayne Hennessey for Liverpool's 100th goal in all competitions this season.

Though Southall is Everton through and through, he took the time to congratulate Liverpool for their title win and for being the best team in the league. "They can push us to incredible things and without them, it's nothing like it is when they are here". Photo courtesy of Salah's Twitter account.

Trent Alexander-Arnold says he is honoured to be compared to David Beckham, but he says he has a long way to go to match the former Manchester United star as "the best free-kick taker in Premier League history". With 17 goals and seven assists, the weight of Salah's contribution is acknowledged by all.

The final whistle meant that Liverpool had won their 19th Premier League title ending their 30-year wait in the process. No team has won the Premier League so early in the season. Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp said after the game.

Football returned to Anfield for the first time since March 11, when Liverpool lost in the Champions League to Atletico Madrid on the day the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus a pandemic and some medical experts believed mass gatherings should already have been shut down in England.
