The New York Post reached out to Ellen's production company to see if the cancellation rumors are valid, and a representative said quite the opposite - "Telepictures can confirm it's untrue", they said.

There are rumours that Ellen DeGeneres's show is in trouble.

It gained thousands of replies, including one from T.V. writer Benjamin Siemon claiming that people are required to chew gum before talking to Ellen as she has a very sensitive sense of smell. TVNewsCheck reports that The Ellen DeGeneres Show's 17th season ratings fell a whopping 14 percent, giving it an ultra low rating of 1.2 and placing behind Dr. Phil.

On top of the pandemic and falling ratings, reports have also emerged of Ellen not being the nicest person.

While Ellen has not addressed any of the issues and the accusers have failed to give substantial proof to support their claims, the internet immediately jumped on the "hate and cancel culture" against the host. It's not your fault, just suck it up for the day and she'll be mean to someone else the next day. But her staff is putting those rumors to rest.

YouTube star NikkieTutorials, who made a guest appearance on "Ellen" in January and was among the first to speak out against DeGeneres, shared her bad experience with the talk show host on the Dutch talk show "De Wereld Draait Door" in February.

According to The Sun, the show's drop in ratings is cause for concern and there are the ongoing complaints from staffers and former production members that her behaviour has been problematic.

In April, Variety reported that crew members were upset over lack of communication or transparency about their jobs and because their pay was reduced.

The claims followed reports alleging that DeGeneres, 62, is "rude" to her staff.
