Amazon is finally catching up with the online co-watching phenomenon, with a new built-in feature called Watch Party, which allows you to sync playback with your nearest and dearest.

The Amazon Prime Video for Windows app, which was recently spotted in the Microsoft Store, is now available to download and use on Windows 10 devices.

The Verge reports that a single session of the Amazon video watch party can hold up to 100 participants. We are not getting back to normal any time soon, which is why now is the ideal time for Amazon's Prime Video Watch Party.

Amazon Prime Video's new feature will let you connect with your friends while following all social distancing norms.

Watch Party supports thousands of streaming titles, including Fleabag and Knives Out.

"Watch movies and TV shows recommended for you, including Amazon Originals like The Boys, Hunters, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, and much more", the app description reads. Watch Party sessions can support up to 100 participants, but everyone in the Watch Party needs to be in the USA and have either an Amazon Prime membership or a Prime Video subscription. The host of the watch party will invite other users and will have full control over the viewing experience.
