Xiaomi starts pushing MIUI 12 Stable update to 13 models

Xiaomi announced the latest iteration of its custom ROM, the MIUI 12 back in April this year. A recent report indicated that stable update has even started rolling out to the Mi 9, Mi 9 Pro 5G, Mi 10 Youth, Redmi K30 5G and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom.

The first batch of the update which started rolling out on June 28 will be available for thirteen (13) different models.

Xiaomi has been slowly but steadily pushing MIUI 12 updates to its flagship and sub-premium phones.

Xiaomi's Redmi has begun rolling out MIUI 12 stable update for its handsets.

Previously, the brand introduced MIUI 12 Global Pilot testing programme for its new range of smartphones.

Other compatible Redmi phones are Redmi Note 9 series, Redmi Note 8 series, Redmi Note 7 series, Redmi Note 6 series, and Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro. The programme is already live for Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones.

The MIUI 12 brings a host of privacy-related features, which is improved as compared to its predecessors. Building on Android's rigorous permission control over location, Xiaomi added that MIUI 12 takes things a step further to manage apps that request sensitive permissions. Redmi will also roll out MIUI 12 stable update for Redmi Y series excluding the Redmi Y1.

The update will bring floating windows support for multi-tasking. The company says that the Super Wallpapers will show multiple levels of aerial views of the Earth and Mars.
