The Fulham striker struck Leeds centre-back Ben White after 87 seconds of his team's 3-0 defeat to their Championship promotion rivals.

But goals from Patrick Bamford, Ezgjan Alioski and Jack Harrison took Leeds top of the table on goal difference, with the Yorkshire club and West Brom seven points clear of Fulham and five clear of Brentford.

'Aleksandar Mitrovic has been suspended for three matches following the Sky Bet Championship meeting between Leeds United and Fulham on Saturday 27th June, ' a Fulham statement said.

"We came here with a real objective about us to go and win the game and put it to a very good Leeds side, a top Leeds team that has navigated their way around this division for a few years now and I thought we were superb in that really".

"In the first half it was hard for us to recover the ball in the opponent's half".

Leeds United Journalise Phil Hay revealed: "I asked Bielsa on Thursday whether he had any realistic chance of playing this season. I think above all, I'd like some clarity on what the state of play is with the obligation to sign him - and whether Leeds will try to get out of it". If the Whites had won some of the games they have dominated this season but failed to be ruthless in the final third, then Leeds would probably already be assured of a Premier League place next season.

It appears highly likely that Leeds will attempt to prevent any deal which means they have to sign Augustin due to the sheer lack of impact he has had in what has been one of their most disappointing transfers in recent times.
