Lady Gaga celebrates her fourth Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart today as her latest collection Chromatica debuts at the top with impressive opening-week numbers.

Her first studio album since the classic-rock-inspired "Joanne" in 2016, "Chromatica" follows Lady Gaga's Oscar-nominated acting turn in director Bradley Cooper's 2018 remake of "A Star Is Born", in which she played the showbiz-ingenue role previously portrayed by Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland.

Lady Gaga has seen more sales of her latest album than the rest of the United Kingdom top 10 records combined!

The album entered the United Kingdom charts at number one, with 53,000 copies sold in the first week of release.

According to the Official Charts Company, Chromatica was the week's most popular album in every format - physical, streaming and downloads - as well as the year's fastest-seller on vinyl, with 8,500 copies sold.

It is the biggest opening week for a female artist's album since Ariana Grande's Thank U, Next in February 2019.

It's also expected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

In fact, there was so much hype that Blackpink urged fans to resist trending their song collaboration "Sour Candy" with Lady Gaga, in an effort to keep the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter at the top of trending lists all over the world.

Youtuber-turned-rapper KSI holds on to the number two spot with his debut album Dissimulation, and Lewis Capaldi's Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent is in third place.

Christine and the Queen's La Vita Nuova EP makes its Top 40 debut at 37 following its physical release, and United Kingdom jazz collective Dutty Moonshine Big Band enter at 40 with City Of Sin.
