Bungie seemingly slipped up last night by posting and then removing a brief teaser trailer for what appears to be the next major Destiny 2 expansion.

You can't erase anything from the internet, as Bungie is finding out.

That tease also includes creepy audio, which fans believe is teasing a new expansion release (the customary September slot) as well as a new long-rumored race. With new weapons, bounties, map rejigs, and a well-received Battle Pass, Shadowkeep has been a resounding success. Many have taken a guess that the environment is what remains of Europa, a moon of Jupiter that used to house a friendly colony before the Collapse. The location which appeared in numerous pieces of concept art before the franchise's launch back in 2014 has been teased in a now-deleted Instagram post.

The end of this promises all will be revealed on 9th June at 12 PM ET, which is an hour before the next season of Destiny 2 goes live - further suggesting this isn't tied to the next content update.

"The next chapter of Destiny 2 is nearly here". We could be looking at another massive multi-season expansion or at a new world to explore as part of the next season, presumably the icy Europa.

KitGuru Says: Barring any delays, it looks like June 9th will be an exciting day for Destiny fans.
