The team made a decision to delay this event due to what is now happening in U.S. after the death of George Floyd. Part of that, however, has meant a shift in priorities for many.

Developer CD Projekt Red has made the hard decision to delay the Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire livestream to 25th June in support of the current Black Lives Matter protests now taking place across the US.

Here is the developer's full statement about the June Cyberpunk 2077 event delay. "We still look forward to sharing new information about Cyberpunk 2077, but more important discussions are happening right now and we want them to be heard". The new date for the presentation is June 25, 2020.

IGN has also announced that it has delayed its Summer of Gaming main events until June 8th.

Other companies have supported efforts more directly. This lets fans know that the developer is standing beside the Black Lives Matter movement and is respecting the times.
