Smith posted a photo Saturday, tagged as having been in Hollywood, that showed several protesters atop a burned-out vehicle. Smith was seen kicking the man and then punching him before the man ran off from the National Basketball Association player.

"The one black person who was able to get out of the situation and move into a nice neighborhood and do all of those things that we aspire to do", Smith said, "you broke that person's [car] window without even knowing". "This is a residential area".

"It was just a random act of stupidness, and I give him that", Smith said.

When the guy finally stands up on his feet, Smith delivered a final punishing overhand right to the guy's dome.

Smith, who measures out at 6'6 and weighs-in at 225, explained his reasoning for the attack in a video obtained by TMZ Sports. The man proceeds to scurry away.

Smith, 34, later confirmed he did assault the man, saying he chased the alleged vandal down after seeing him shatter his truck window.

"One of these (expletive) white boys didn't know where he was going and broke my (expletive) window in my truck", Smith said during his explanation video.

He said he wanted to make it clear that his actions against the man, who is white, were not racially motivated. "There's a problem with the [expletive] system, that's it".

Smith, of course, became a folk hero in Cleveland for his mercurial personality and aversion to shirts, not to mention all those clutch shots he made during the Cavaliers championship run in 2016.
