The second-generation iPhone SE is here

The iPhone 11 series has been largely successful for Apple, and it looks like it wants to maintain that trajectory by adding new features to position its next phones as cutting-edge devices. Also similar to the iPad Pro is how the lenses will be more embedded into the bump than they are now on the iPhone 11 Pro, making the back look smoother.

The iPhone 12 is Apple's next flagship smartphone and the reveal is still months away, but that hasn't stopped the leaks from springing, with the latest being early CAD renders of the premium iPhone 12 Pro Max. Under the hood, you will find an Apple A13 SoC, the same one that powers the iPhone 11. The phone has a 4.7-inch screen, large bezels on the top and bottom, and a home button with active Touch ID. There's a 12-megapixel wide camera with OIS, portrait mode, 5x digital zoom and other features borrowed from the iPhone 11. This is a bit more surprising, since 5G phones had already been available for a while when the iPhone 11 range launched, but then Apple often waits to embrace new technology.

TL;DR: As of April 17, the new budget iPhone SE is now available for pre-order - it'll ship April 24. With a Lightning connector, iPhone SE is also compatible with more than 25,000 Lightning accessories, including camera accessories, audio, and speakers, docks, CarPlay and more.

The only difference is that this display does not have the force touch that you have on the iPhone 8 but instead has 3d touch. The camera is capable of recording 4K video @ 60fps as well. So obviously there's been much speculation leading up in terms of the name the release date, and the name is called the iPhone SE and nothing else we thought it was going to be called the SE 2 or the iPhone 9.

Some other modern upgrades include Wi-Fi 6, Gigabit LTE, dual-sim and Haptic Touch, Apple's replacement for 3D Touch. Companies like Samsung and Huawei have invested aggressively in mid-range smartphones that don't cost more than that, so the iPhone SE might have a hard time convincing customers to pay this price. It's a $400 phone with a big camera and a great processor that is also available in Apple's most expensive iPhones.
