Clap! Clap! Fraggle Rock reboot coming to Apple TV+

Apple has announced a new partnership with The Jim Henson Company to reboot the classic series Fraggle Rock.

Apple struck a deal with the Jim Henson Company to produce new episodes of the beloved kids' show that will air on Apple TV+, reports Vulture. In the first mini-episode entitled "Shine On", now streaming on Apple TV+, new Doozertubes are delivered to the Fraggles' caves, allowing them to come together for a favorite song "Shine On, Shine On Me". "Having that additional content gives people more of a reason to stick around instead of relying on a sparser offering built on the backs of originals".

Following this, Apple has chose to opt for a more extensive deal, which will include a "formal reboot" of the show, bringing back the show with full length episodes.

Apple TV+ provides original movies and TV shows for $4.99 per month.

Henson CEO and president Lisa Henson will executive produce the new slapstick comedy series alongside Halle Stanford, the prodco's president of television. 96 episodes were broadcast from January 10, 1983 to March 30, 1987. The move makes Apple TV+ the de facto home of "Fraggle".
