Three more NI coronavirus deaths bringing the number to 504

13 more people have died from Covid-19 in the the Republic.

There are now 4,545 confirmed cases of the virus in Northern Ireland, with 55,682 tests being carried out on 44,915 people.

The figures released by the Department of Health on Friday night found that 7,791 cases are now associated with healthcare workers.

Of the national total, the average age of confirmed cases is 48 years, while 3,222 people have been hospitalised.

It was also announced by Simon Harris that those who enter the country will have to self-quarantine for 14 days, or else they will face a penalty.

· Of those for whom transmission status is known: community transmission accounts for 60%, close contact accounts for 37%, travel overseas accounts for 3%. This is very positive and demonstrates the extent to which the public's actions have limited the spread of this disease. "The reproduction number is well below one, so our task remains to maintain low transmission of the virus".
