Jon Jones's tweets about failed UFC negotiationsFrancis Ngannou tweets disappointment over lack of Jones fight or title fightDana White on Jon Jones vs Francis Ngannou?

Jon has been poking Francis and vice versa on social media but this one by Ngannou was pretty brutal.

There has been no comment from either Ngannou or the UFC as to the negotiations with Jones for the potential super fight. Less than an hour later, things took a different turn. So, he's walking away.

It's not clear what specifically went down in those negotiations.

Though there are a still a few fights for him at light heavyweight, the longtime 205-pound champion has been teasing a move to heavyweight for the past couple of years.

Ngannou was also disgruntled, but not quite as sharply as Jones.

While still dominant, and doubtlessly one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time, Jon Jones is seemingly more targeted than ever. He even hinted at doing so for a fight against Spite Miocic previous year, but that never came to fruition.

Based on their conversations, both he and Ngannou appeared all in.

Ngannou, 33, comes from a 20-second knockout by Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC 249 on May 9. It marked his fourth straight victory.

The light heavyweight champion most recently beat Dominick Reyes via unanimous decision in a closely contested bout in February.

A fight between the two would be extremely entertaining, to say the least.
