Serious Sam 4 has all the over-the-top violence and cheesy dialogue you would expect from a Serious Sam game, but will also introduce new gameplay mechanics, weapons, and enemies.

To celebrate the release window announcement, every title in the Serious Sam series is now on sale at up to 90 percent-off on Steam. The exclusivity is only timed and Serious Sam 4 will make it's way to PS4 in 2021. Graphics engineer Dean Sekulic mentioned that the team was originally hoping for about 10,000 enemies to appear on the screen, but they were pleasantly surprised when they were able to increase it a magnitude more.

Croteam is promising "battlefields teeming with thousands of enemies" that will feature a mix of old creatures, like the Kleer and the Headless Kamikaze, and new creatures that include the Belcher and something called the Processed.

Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more on Serious Sam 4. Monkey bars and glory kills are fine, but sometimes you just want to hold down the trigger and yell.

Along with the announcement, Devolver dropped a new trailer for the title.

The first-person shooter returns with protagonist Sam "Serious" Stone defending humanity against alien invaders using a variety of upgradable weapons such as a double-barreled shotgun, minigun, chainsaw launcher, cannon, and the new auto shotgun.

Davor Hunski, Chief Creative Officer at Croteam, said that the core "of the Serious Sam franchise is dancing with enemies and projectiles". You can find several screenshots for the game in the gallery below.
