Robert Rodriguez Shares Look At Baby Yoda In The Mandalorian Season 2

Filmmaker Robert Rodriguez - whose credits include El Mariachi, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Sin City and Spy Kids - confirmed that he is among those who directed a Season 2 episode of Disney+'s flagship series The Mandalorian.

The photo in question offers fans their first glimpse at Baby Yoda. In the caption included with the image, Robert Rodriguez wrote that he is humbled to say he has had the privilege of directing the "biggest star in the universe".

Last season, Bryce Dallas Howard and Taika Waititi were among the directors pitching in to the eight-episode season, with Jon Favreau writing and acting as showrunner.

The Mandalorian season 2 will hit Disney+ in October. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. They join returning stars including Pedro Pascal in the title role, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, Nick Nolte, Julia Jones and Ming-Na Wen. The record features the series theme song composed and produced by Ludwig Göransson, making it a must for any Star Wars and vinyl collector.

The Child spins! For those who caught the inaugural season of Disney's Star Wars spinoff The Mandalorian, you're probably well aware that the breakout star was the adorable Baby Yoda, otherwise known as The Child. Karen Gilchrist will serve as co-executive producer.
