Players pay tribute to postponed Met Gala

There may not have been a red carpet to walk down, but Twitter's high fashion community brought its A Game during last night's virtual Met Gala. Her Jean Paul Gaultier look would have majorly accentuated her belly, as the light pink ensemble featured very little fabric, aside from what would have covered her bump and chest.

"What I would've tried to wear to the Met Gala this year", Amanda Seyfried captioned a photo of herself in a floral blue dress.

The 35-year-old singer - who is expecting her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom - meant to wear a Jean Paul Gaultier designed corset, highlighting her baby bump on the red carpet at the annual fashion fundraising extravaganza which was scheduled to take place at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (04.05.20) before the event was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"It's the first Monday in May. and right about now is when we'd be heading to the carpet for the #MetGala", she said in the post, "I wanted to celebrate today with a look back at some of my favorite moments".

Lala Anthony also posted her Met Gala looks.

The Russian was invited to the gala in 2016 as well, when she came dressed in red. Then, for the after-party, she changed into a cheeseburger costume. "It would be too iconic", one person wrote.

She added: "And I think we were both looking forward to this new interval of life and sharing this, so, that's kind of how it happens, you know?"
