Netflix Shares First 'Space Force' Trailer

For those who loved the American version of The Office, there is something special coming to Netflix in late May.

Steve Carell leads a reunion of sorts in the first full trailer for Netflix's Space Force, a new comedy that reunites Carell with Greg Daniels. his co-worker on The Office. For example, we also meet Dr. Adrian Mallory (John Malkovich), the mission's head science advisor who firmly believes that space should be a place of wide-eyed wonder, not one of war.

Skeptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colourful team of scientists and "Spacemen" are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance.
Though that doesn't stop him from being the butt of the joke, as even his subordinates find the concept of a Space Force all too easy to ridicule.

Unfortunately for Mark, this project isn't everything he dreamed it would be-POTUS wants him to help create a Space Force that will defend the country from any threats that loom in the galaxy.

Co-starring John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, and Lisa Kudrow, with plenty more notable faces in the mix, Space Force looks to be a potential streaming hit for Netflix.

"Netflix had this premise that they thought might make a amusing show - the idea made everybody laugh in a meeting, an idea of a show about the origins of a fictitious Space Force", the actor said. "There was no show, there was no idea aside from the title". Let's do it.' And it was really based on nothing, except this name that made everybody laugh. "So we were off and running".

This show, which was created by Carell and writer Greg Daniels, who has worked on shows including "The Office" and "Saturday Night Live", comes to Netflix on May 29.
