Mi 10 launch was previously scheduled to happen on March 31 in India.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 series was announced in China in March, and then had its global launch a few weeks later. The phone also has curved glass back panels with the speaker grille situated at the top and bottom of the phone. We are not sure if Xiaomi India will launch all the variants of the device in India. There's an in-display fingerprint sensor onboard.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 has a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels.

Under the hood, there is an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with Adreno 650 GPU and X55 modem. Mi 10 features a 20MP f/2.0 front camera for selfies.

Let's talk about software for a bit.

Xiaomi is the biggest smartphone company in India by shipments with a market share of 30%, ahead of South Korea's Samsung Electronics Ltd, according to Hong Kong-based tech researcher Counterpoint. And we all know how MIUI is riddled with ads and bloatware. It will switch out its own Mi-branded apps and bloat for Google apps out-of-the-box on this device.

As for camera, the Mi 10 has a quad rear camera setup with a 108-megapixel primary sensor. In India, only the regular Mi 10 is expected, which has a quad-camera setup consisting of a 108MP f/1.7 primary shooter, a 13MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro lens and a depth sensor. This is the one feature that I'm itching to test out.

On the battery end, the Mi 10 5G is powered by a 4,780mAh unit. But, the 30W wired and 30W wireless charging support is what makes this flagship phone a lot more desirable.

As lockdown rules begin to relax and e-commerce deliveries for non-essential products begin, Xiaomi has confirmed to launch the Mi 10 flagship in India on May 8. There is also support for 5W reverse wireless charging, which is faster than 3W reverse wireless charging on OnePlus 8 Pro.
