After a long period of waiting and speculation, Xiaomi has finally announced the launch date of the Mi 10 5G flagship phone in India. The confirmation comes after the government has relaxed some lockdown rules during the coronavirus pandemic. With this platform, customers will be able to search for the products online that are available at offline retail stores near them. We are not sure if Xiaomi India will launch all the variants of the device in India.

This is gonna evoke a lot of excitement.

Mi fans, #Mi10 is launching on MAY 8th. That looks set to change, with Xiaomi teasing the launch of a new pair of true wireless earphones - likely to be the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 - on May 8, alongside the Mi 10 smartphone.

Factories and stores have been closed and online sales through platforms like Amazon and Flipkart have dipped, leaving a direct impact on the business of Xiaomi, which touts India as its biggest market outside of China, as well as its rivals Samsung and OPPO.

In a call with reporters, Xiaomi executives said they were hopeful that the Indian market would attain at least 80% of its momentum by the end of the year. With the launch happening in just 4 days from now, stay tuned for more news. Mi 10 features a 20MP f/2.0 front camera for selfies. Xiaomi made a decision to stick to the 90Hz refresh rate, as opposed to the 120Hz refresh rate on the Galaxy S20 series, as well as the upcoming OnePlus 8 lineup. Under the hood, the smartphone boasts the Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM. It comprises a 108MP wide, 13MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensors. Unlike its Pro sibling, it does not include a telephoto module. There is a 4,780mAh battery on the smartphone along with support for 30W fast wired charging and 30W fast wireless charging. The flagship also features 30W wireless charging which definitively is a plus. The phone runs Android 10 with MIUI 11 running atop.
