"Encapsulating the game's epic blend of the three Star Wars trilogies, the key art includes some of the greatest heroes and villains seen throughout the Skywalker saga", the press release reads.

The brand has sported some wonderful Star Wars titles over the past couple of decades, including typical favourites such as Knights of the Old Republic, Jedi Academy and Star Wars Battlefront.

Co-writing alongside Waititi will be fellow Oscar nominee Krysty Wilson-Cairns, who was screenwriter on 1917 alongside Sam Mendes, and also co-wrote Edgar Wright's upcoming Last Night in Soho. That said, it's possible Lucasfilm just isn't ready to get into specifics on that yet.

Well, it's finally official: Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, who recently won an Academy Award for "Best Adapted Screenplay" for his work on Jojo Rabbit, is set to direct and co-write a new Star Wars movie for Lucasfilm (which they confirm will receive a theatrical release). He directed the final episode of The Mandalorian's first season, and played the assassin droid IG-11. Waititi's next directorial project before this one will be 2022's Thor: Love and Thunder.

Thankfully, he kept the appointment and impressed Lucas so much that he became a series creator, executive producer, voice actor, and director for over a decade of iconic Star Wars stories. Headland will serve as the untitled project's showrunner. but that doesn't have a release date either. This is an enormously exciting sign for Star Wars' future on the big screen.
