Huawei P30 Pro New Edition coming soon with Google apps & services

This essentially makes the Huawei P30 Pro a dated smartphone.

The worldwide availability of the P30 Pro New Edition is not yet known as Huawei itself hasn't officially announced it. Among the biggest impact from the sanctions is the inability of Huawei to include Google Mobile Services (GMS) into its newer phones such as the recently released Huawei P40 series. It already did so with the P30 Pro in September, but may well repeat the strategy with its next update later this month. The P30 Lite New Edition was launched in the second half of 2019, and allowed the company to offer a refreshed phone with Google Play Services installed by offering a phone with more RAM and more storage.

It's not clear how long this tactic of Huawei's can go on for, as there will come a time when the P30 series is too old to resurrect for newer versions, but for now it seems Huawei is making the most of this little loophole.

However, it actually makes ideal sense - since the Huawei P30 phones launched before the Huawei ban, they're still allowed to be sold with Google apps, unlike newer devices from the company. That being said, we don't really know much about the specifications and features of the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition as of now.

The promotion is carried out by Teqcycle Solutions GmbH (hereinafter referred to as "Teqcycle").

The following promotional devices take part in this promotion: HUAWEI P30 Pro / HUAWEI P30 / HUAWEI P30 lite NEW EDITION / * HUAWEI P30 Pro NEW EDITION (hereinafter referred to as "promotional device"). Additionally, we don't expect the phone to be released in Malaysia anyway given that the P30 Lite New Edition didn't made its way to our market.
