Frank Gore signing with Jets in Adam Gase reunion

That would be the timeless Frank Gore, who is signing a one-year deal with NY, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Gore has played for 15 seasons with four different teams. He first coached Gore with the 49ers in 2008 when he was an offensive assistant and then again in 2018 with the Dolphins when Gase was the head coach there.

The problem with Bell and his contract is every other back who has signed a massive contract in the last two seasons has done the exact opposite of re-setting the market.

ESPN first reported the agreement between the Jets and Gore, who trails only Emmitt Smith (18,355) and Walter Payton (16,726) in yards rushing.

He spent his first 10 National Football League seasons with San Francisco after being selected in the third round out of the University of Miami in 2005. But after only one season with the New York Jets, it seems they are already wanting to cut back his workload. Should something happen to Bell, Gore could even step into a starting role in a Gase offense that doesn't tend to overuse its running backs.

The Jets, likewise, will be breaking in a mid-round rookie running back in La'Mical Perine, whom NY took in the draft's fourth round last month (Singletary was a third-round pick for the Bills in 2019).

"It's unbelievable, " Gase said last September before New York's season opener against Buffalo. You're in full pads, and he's going at it like it's Sunday.

"That's how he's always been". He loves football. There's no other place he'd rather be than the practice field, gameday.
