The FCC and the NBTC have already confirmed the existence of the Mi Note 10 Lite and now has Xiaomi, sort of. The handset will arrive as an affordable version of the camera-centric Mi Note 10.

Official renders of the Redmi Note 9 have just leaked online ahead of its launch at 8 pm UTC (5.30 pm IST) today.

The Redmi Note 9 is beloved to be a rebranded version of the rumoured Redmi 10X, which was recently spotted on Chinese certification site TENAA. The design of the Redmi Note 9 will be similar to the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max that were launched in India back in March. It is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, paired with up to 4GB RAM.

Further, the Lite model is expected to sport a 6.47-inch OLED screen with full-HD+ resolution and an integrated fingerprint reader. This is in line with yesterday's teaser by Xiaomi which stated that tomorrow's global launch event will feature two phone series.

It's no secret that the Redmi Note 9 series will get its global launch today, but what might throw you is that the Redmi Note 9S (pictured) has already launched globally, and we've already reviewed it - it's a fantastic budget phone, and its high-capacity battery lasted longer in our tests than any before it. Unlike the Mi Note 10, the Mi Note 10 Lite will also ship with Android. The battery size is the same as the Redmi Note 9 Pro which is 5,020mAh supported by 18W fast charging. The phone should be announced globally with MIUI 12 out of the box.

There is no confirmation whether the Mi Note 10 Lite will be launched in India or not. Coming to the connectivity options, the phone is tipped to include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/c, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, Dual GPS, and GLONASS.

A tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, revealed on Twitter, that Redmi Note 9 might come in white, blue and green three colour options.
