Parameters to be considered a flagship smartphone have changed a lot from previous year.

Nubia has now made its latest flagship RedMagic 5G available for global pre-orders starting today.

As implied by the name - RedMagic 5G - the smartphone is capable of supporting 5G, SA as well as NSA. The smartphone also comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, all for a price of £460. The aforementioned display is OLED, 6.65 inches in size, 1080p.

Processing and graphics grunt come courtesy of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset that's now powering the year's smartphone flagships, supported by up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.0 storage (which is reported 83 percent faster than the previous flash storage specification).

Nubia - the manufacturer behind RedMagic 5G - describes the display in its upcoming phone as a "144Hz ESports Ultra-Smooth Display" that is able to provide "seamlessly fluid movements in action packed games and stay ahead of the competition". The smartphone sports two-built-in shoulder trigger buttons for a better gaming experience. Considering its angle on gaming, however, its triple-lens camera setup, with a 64-megapixel main Sony sensor probably won't be the next photography champion, but the phone does have a headphone jack and stereo speakers, one being the earpiece. Combined with liquid cooling, it helps keep the CPU temperature down and curbs heat generated from charging with a 55W brick. The 8GB RAM, along with 128GB internal storage, will be available at $579, and the 12GB RAM variant along with 256GB RAM will be available at $649.

There are some freebies for the early adopters - 100 customers who purchase the phone until April 21 will receive the ability to purchase a $30 voucher from the Red Magic 5G Blueprint event for only $5.79.
