Sheree Whitfield Says Her Mother Has Been Missing For Two Weeks

Sheree Whitfield had a plea for fans: pray for her missing mother, Thelma Ferguson.

The former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star took to social media on Wednesday and revealed her 77-year-old mother, Thelma Ferguson, has been missing for over two weeks.

She asked followers to keep her family in their prayers. I was hesitant to post my concerns for my mother's safe return because, although I have been in close contact with the police for the past two weeks.

Whitfield, 50, told her almost 1 million Instagram followers that she initially hesitated to contact the police or send out alarm bells because Ferguson has taken personal vacations in the past without notifying family members.

But Whitfield indicated that Ferguson has never been gone this long without letting someone know. "Right now we are leaning on God and staying positive and prayerful for her safe return home".

Sheree continues to work closely with the authorities to find Thelma but she thought that asking her almost one million followers to pray for her "safe return home" would not be a bad thing either. As we all continue to navigate through these uncertain times, remember the blessing of having each other... Family is everything! I ask that everyone pray for my mother's safe return home.

She also passed on information for the Sandy Springs police for anyone with information about her mother's whereabouts.

According to Sandy Springs police, Sheree's mother has been missing since March 23 after last seen going to the bank, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported. Police and family members also have been alerted in California and OH as Whitfield was reared in Cleveland. "And I know that our family will be [eternally] grateful". According to police, Thelma drives a grey 2009 Honda Accord with Georgia tag RMZ5773.
