Trump And Biden Have 'Very Friendly' Call On Virus Response

Joe Biden again said he doesn't support Medicare for everyone - and said it wouldn't have made a difference in fighting the escalating coronavirus pandemic.

Trump, however, said he does not plan to heed the federal government's guidance by wearing a face covering himself.

According to a release from the campaign announcing the event, the town hall seeks to "provid [e] parents and children across the country with advice on how to stay connected, continue schoolwork, take care of each other, and spread joy and kindness during times of great uncertainty and anxiety".

Biden's campaign on Friday told CNN that Biden backs Trump's restrictions on travel from China amid the global coronavirus pandemic.

Biden tweeted Saturday just before Trump's White House coronavirus briefing began that Trump wasn't responsible for COVID-19, "but he is responsible for failing to prepare our nation to respond to it".

"He doesn't write. He's probably not even watching right now", Trump stated of the aired everyday instruction.

The Twitter- respected head of state included: "Biden didn't write that, he wanted he did, however he didn't".

Democrats had originally planned to hold the Milwaukee convention in July with the aim of building early momentum that could bring the party together in the bid to unseat President Trump from the White House. A super PAC backing his bid has been running ads attacking Trump.

"We want to make sure our surrogates are drawing a contrast between the President's effective leadership and Joe Biden's poor record and futile quest for relevance", he said in a statement.

When inquired about the tweet during journalism instruction, Trump stated a "Democratic operative" composed it and also suggested Biden had not been qualified.

Biden told reporters about the effort to connect by phone with Trump late Thursday during a virtual gathering, Axios reports.

"Now their new weapon is to try and attack the president over this coronavirus outbreak", Murtaugh said.
