The follow-up series, entitled Investigating The Strange World of Joe Exotic, will explore questions including whether Carole Baskin was a selfless protector of animals or if she planned the disappearance of her husband Don Lewis. Now there are signs that the viral hit will continue with news that the streaming giant has already planned a bonus episode.

The Netflix documentary highlighted the fierce rivalry between Exotic and Baskin, with the latter advocating for the former's tiger breeding practices to stop.

The tale of eccentric zookeeper "Joe Exotic" is far from over. Only, instead of a bouncy ball that highlights the words, a bouncing tiger head helps you follow along with the lyrics. In addition to the new episode reportedly coming to Netflix this week, a new series is in development from Investigation Discovery.

In a short video from an unlikely source, a Twitter account belonging to Justin Turner, the LA Dodgers football player, billionaire zoo owner Jeff Lowe announced that Netflix was going to film a fresh episode to be released this week.

"Now, I don't even know exactly what he was - I watched the show, but it's like, I don't know exactly what he was guilty of or wasn't". "No one seems to be talking - except for one man - and that man is the center of ID's upcoming investigative series", the network said. They're putting together what they call a "definitive sequel" to the Netflix show, titled Investigating the Strange World of Joe Exotic.

It might sound as though the new series is biased in favor of the Tiger King, and it's true that it'll be told at least partially from his perspective, but it sounds like Exotic's number-one enemy isn't the only one in the crosshairs.
