Exhausted of the corona: Maria Sharapova shares her phone number with all

In February, five-time Grand Slam victor Maria Sharapova announced that she would be leaving tennis "to compete on a different type of terrain".

Last week, the Russian tennis star made a decision to ease up the quarantine boredom of her fans by holding a video conferencing session with about 150 of the lucky ones who would get access.

"Whatever that means in today's world", she started in a video posted on her official Twitter handle.

"150 of you participated in the video conference, and I loved the chat - and would have more", she says and adds in the video, at the time of writing is seen by more than a quarter of a million people.

"I want more connection and a big part of that is all because we are all in this separation, this physical distancing together", she continued, referring to stay-at-home orders imposed by the U.S. government during the coronavirus pandemic.

I wanted more connection. "And so I want you to tell me what you think so here is an idea". Please do it!" The video came with a caption in which Sharapova shared the number on which she can be reached: "Not only did I just get a 310 number (hello cool cats) but I'm sharing it with you-Text me!

"And when I say message, it will be directly on my phone".

In your Instagram, Sharapova, 32-year-old announced his retirement from tennis on February 26, encourages his followers to do so.

"So text me, and wait to get a response!", the tennis icon promised.
