President Trump touted the sky-high ratings of his White House coronavirus briefings - claiming they are driving the media "crazy" - as he reminded his millions of Twitter followers that another one is coming up Sunday afternoon. "That will NEVER happen!", he wrote in another. Trump said. "Polls are showing tremendous disapproval of Lamestream Media coverage of the Virus crisis. The Fake News just hasn't figured that out yet!"

Dr. Anthony Fauci, one of the lead members of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, told CNN on Sunday that coronavirus could kill between 100,000 and 200,000 Americans and infect millions of people. Last Monday's conference drew almost 12.2 million viewers, putting it on pace with "Monday Night Football". "See you at 5:00 P.M.!"

Trump quoted an article from the New York Times that provided recent viewership statistics of his coronavirus press conferences.

The identity of the "lunatic" mentioned in the tweet was not immediately clear, but journalists immediately began trying to track it down. However, the piece also explores the internal debates among news outlets on whether to air these briefings live, due to the false and misleading information Trump has pushed on the coronavirus.

"The media is covering depressing metrics of this crisis - deaths, illness, jobs lost, businesses and families impacted".
